Happy Together

First time making a film

This was my first directorial debut in film making. I signed up for a film making course over one summer when I was 11 or 12 years old. This group of people who I had never met before would later become my cast and crew for the next week.

Being able to share a passion with a new group of people, all working together to finish a project within a tight deadline was exciting and terrifying at the same time for the 11 year old me. Having to take the role of the director and camera man during the week I had the responsibility to make sure that the story we had all contributed towards, had to follow the linear narrative whilst on shooting days.

Working within a group

This group project help me understand how to bond with new people and to quickly form a good relationship. This helped us to work together in a enjoyable working experience and to perform at our best ability for the final result.

This short film helped me learn the basics of film making and how I can work within a group to create a quality project within a deadline.
